Villain
all the evil that you’ve committed
all the unpleasantness you’ve vomited onto others
all of the wrong that you’ve dealt out
like cards at a casino
shall be handed back to you tenfold

force fed to you by the spoonful

when you reach the threshold of what you THINK you can tolerate
the misery will double
like cancer cells
eating all the joy and
sucking all the light

you will scream and kick
and claw and bite and punch
and curse
but no one will hear

worse
they will hear and ignore

remember
all that you’ve endured
was owed

passerby will point, aghast
“This is truly God’s Lonely Man.”
